Casing is used as a permanent or temporary support structure for a bored piling system. It’s used when deeper, unstable soil conditions are present. Casing is utilised during the drilling stage of construction and can be installed and extracted by using a drilling rig or an oscillator attached to an excavator rig. The casing is jiggled in by big vibrations as it penetrates the ground. The soil contained within is removed by means of boring tools such as an auger or drilling buckets.

Our temporary and permanent casings are made with either single or double wall thickness with rebar reinforcement. They provide maximum torque during insertion to ensure casings aren’t warped during installation.

Tebco casings are built to conform to high fabrication standards beyond most other manufacturers’ abilities. Our steel grade is the highest, and our heat processing capabilities the finest. These differences can be noticed at a glance when you come to our lot to inspect our products.

During the concreting stage temporary casings are withdrawn as a whole component, a piling rig and or oscillator can be used to extract temporary casings. As in the name, permanent casings are left in the ground after drilling.

The casing method can be applied to foundation piles, secant pile and contiguous retaining walls.
